  1. I am having strong feelings of resentment. One of my fleshly brothers, who is also a member of the church, recently accused me of trying to break up the family singing group. When I tried to call him to discuss his contentions he became enraged, hung up on me and called a couple of the members of the group to reinforce his position. After hearing from them, that I had attempted no such thing, he has not called me to apologize. I received a text message from him claiming that he could not talk to me at that time. I do not want to accept this as an attempt to apologize. I believe that he should call me and talk with me and settle the issue.

  2. If you have given up everything to follow Christ then things like this matter very little to a person. I'll give you an example from my own life. I returned a call from my mother and she told me she has cancer.

I am not unhappy about her having cancer, but I am upset that she is a very bitter angry woman who holds so many things against so many people. This spiritual condition of hers is what bothers me. If I knew her love for God was so complete that she would give her life just for the opportunity to live for Christ, then her having cancer would not bother me much at all.

To live is to Christ, to Die is to gain.
